This home was founded in March of 1997 with the purpose that the boys previously living in the Casa Matriz would go to it when they reached the age of 12. It is actually in a rented house and has the capacity of 10 children of 12 years of age and older.

OMAR INOCENCIO PIÑA JUAREZ   Inicio

 SEPTEMBER 8, 1996

Omar and his brother Juan Bernardo came to live at the children’s home in May 2005. Both boys are in the Casa Matriz The boys are here because their single mother decided to go to the United States to find work and improve their economic situation, leaving the children in the grandmother’s care. Shortly after arriving in the U.S.A., the mother ended up in jail, and no longer sent money to the grandmother for the children’s support. The grandmother worked, leaving the kids alone for long periods of time, but even so, her income wasn’t sufficient to support the children, so she approached us for help. Omar was very serious when he arrived at the home. Although he was able to read and write, he didn’t have any documents to prove that he had been to school. It was a difficult process to get him admitted into the school, but he was finally accepted, and is achieving very good marks.

MARCH 25, 2000

Levi joined the young men in our Teen Boys' home in October 2008.  His father had died, leaving his mom with 6 children.  It was too much for her, and she came to us for help.

Levi is a quiet young man who likes to study.  He is really serious about his education as he hopes to one day be able to help out his family.  Even though he is shy, he does make friends and enjoys playing Hide and Seek with the other boys.

He loves the teaching that he has been receiving about God and it is his desire to continue serving the Lord throughout his life.

Fernando arrived at the children's home along with his older brother Jesus in November 2008.  Although Fernando was still very young, both boys were placed in our Teen Boy's Home so that they could be together, and in the atmosphere of this smaller home, receive the love and attention that they needed.  The boys' mother had died, and their father approached us for help due to his difficult financial situation.

Fernando is a very happy boy who loves to play - especially with cars.  He enjoys going to Sunday School and enjoys hearing the Bible stories.

Jesus arrived at the children's home in November 2008 along with his brother Fernando.  They are in our Teen Boy's home.  The boys are with us because their father was widowed and did not have consistent work, leaving them in a precarious financial situation.

Jesus is a very smart and energetic young man.  When he first arrived, he was very angry and often acted out his feelings.  However we are happy to say that as we have been working with his character, that he is changing and showing more positive character qualities.

Jesus enjoys reading and helping his younger brother.

albertoEdwin arrived at the Casa Matriz in August 2007. He is here with us because he was living with his mother and younger siblings in a small rural village in the State of Michoacan. He is close to finishing his primary or elementary education, and his mother sought our help because there was no possibility of him continuing his education to a higher level where he was living. Edwin is very friendly with the other children. He had some difficulty making the transition from “village” school to the “city” school, and was behind the other children in the same grade, but with the extra attention and help he has received in the home, he was able to catch up quickly. We trust that Edwin’s time in the home won’t just benefit him academically, but that he will also receive a spiritual education and decide to accept Jesus into his heart.

Isaac

Isaac arrived at the children’s home in August 2008, along with his older sister Brenda.   Isaac is in the Teen Boys’ Home, and Brenda is in our home for teen girls.  Their parents divorced when Isaac was very young, leaving their mom to care for the children.  She didn’t have the ability to be able to provide adequately for her family, and when she did work, she would leave the young children by themselves.

Isaac has struggled with school, having repeated first grade 3 times.  He also has a speech delay.  We are confident that with the love of God in his life, and special care and security, that Isaac will see huge advances in his life.

Christian arrived at the children’s home in August 2003 along with his brothers Abel and David. All three boys are living in the teen boy’s home. They are in the process of becoming eligible for adoption. Christian loves to ride the bikes and play soccer. He is easily distracted and therefore at times is dangerous on the bike. He is working hard at school and is trying very hard to do what is expected of him. He says what he thinks and feels and is not the least bit shy. Christian has received Jesus into his heart and it is interesting how he talks to God in a very natural way. He is secure in the fact that God loves him and we are seeing improvements in him every day. He loves hugs and is very easy to please, whether it be playing with a stone or sophisticated toy. Our prayer is that the Lord would do great things in his life.
